Meet the Orchid Team

We thought it would be a great idea to keep you updated with all that is going on here in the Orchid Events Team based at St Bart’s Hospital. From Walnut Costumes to mass shave offs, every day is varied and that is one of the things we all enjoy about working in events.

The Events team consists of Lucy – Events and Partnerships Manager, Caz - Special Events and Marketing Manager and Hannah – Fundraising Events Assistant. Each week a member of the team will be writing a blog about their week and the exciting plans going on in the office. From time to time we will have special guest writers telling you even more about Orchid!

As way of an introduction here is a ‘This is Your Life’ of the Orchid Events Team. So next time you give us a call or read a blog you will know who you are talking to.

Lucy has been working at Orchid for almost four years. From planning the glamorous 2011 Savoy Ball to pitching up gazebos at OrchidCycle Essex, Lucy has loved being part of the Orchid team and growing our events portfolio! In her spare time Lucy is a mum but still enjoys keeping fit. She’s a regular British Military Fitness member, has run four marathons and has just taken up badminton! So anyone considering taking up a running challenge Lucy is the person to speak to.

Caz started her career in charities at the British Lung Foundation and moved to the Orchid team over two years ago becoming the Special Events and Marketing Manager. Working alongside Lucy, Caz manages the varied events programme. Living up to Lucy’s sporty lifestyle, Caz is passionate about skiing and has done two ski seasons in the French Alps. Caz has also been in training this year for a number of triathlons and she can be seen every day cycling the streets of London to work!

The most recent member of the Orchid team is me, Hannah. I’m going to be responsible for administrating the blog and keeping you all updated with the goings on in the Orchid office.
I started at Orchid last summer as office administrator and moved to the events team in January. I have fitted very well into the team as I am also a keen sports enthusiast, which is a good job with so many of our events being sports based! In my spare time I train and compete in gymnastics which takes up lots of my evenings, I also love running around London parks, although with my sense of direction I am more often lost than not! The rest of the team have been trying to persuade me to take on the London Marathon for Orchid next year or a half marathon this year, watch this space for my decision.
