Jump for free – freefall 12,000 feet and raise money for Orchid!
Are you interested in a thrill of a lifetime?
Orchid has teamed up with UK Parachuting and Skydive London to offer a wide range of skydiving opportunities.
We aim to introduce people from all walks of life to the thrill, freedom and exhilaration of skydiving in a safe, professional and fun environment whilst raising valuable funds in aid of Orchid.
What is a tandem skydive?
A tandem sky dive is a 'once in a lifetime' experience. Jumping out of an aeroplane over two miles up, strapped to a professional parachute instructor, you will freefall through the air for several thousand feet at over 120mph. The instructor will then open the canopy and you begin the smooth parachute descent from a mile up in the sky as you and the instructor steer yourself to the centre of the drop zone below.
What do I have to do?
You will need to pay a deposit of £50 plus raise a minimum sponsorship of £300 in aid of Orchid. The cost of your jump is £150 (plus the £50 deposit) and the remaining £150 goes directly to Orchid. If you feel unhappy that the £150 goes towards the costs of the jump then you may want to consider paying some of it yourself. Once you have decided to take up the challenge you simply book online with either Skydive London or UK Parachuting direct. They will then arrange the tandem skydive for your preferred date and send you out further information about the jump along with Orchid sponsor forms and a fundraising pack.

On the day of the jump you must provide Skydive London or UK Parachuting with a cheque for the remaining £150 towards the costs of the jump plus a minimum sponsorship of £150 for Orchid. If you have raised your sponsorship online at www.bmycharity.com/orchid then you must take with you a print out of your home page showing the total amount you have raised which must add up to £300 (excluding your deposit).
