A beautiful ride through the New Forest with a choice of three routes, all starting and finishing in Brockenhurst. The long and medium routes head out across the open heath with its huge horizon towards Beaulieu. The riders then drop down through wooded lanes towards the picturesque village of Burley where all three routes converge. The long route branches off and skirts along the wide Avon Valley. It then arches back across Broomy Plain and down Bolderwood Ornamental Drive where it rejoins the short and medium routes. Then it’s on to the Finish at Brockenhurst College for a warm welcome. Many of the roads are quiet and the hills are gentle making this an ideal ride for families.

Route   A fairly flat and easy route suitable for families, with a choice of three distances – 18, 28 or 48 miles. All routes are fully signed and marshaled. The 28 and 48 mile routes are all on road. The 18 mile route includes off-road forest track – recommended minimum tyre size 1.5”. Mileages are as accurate as possible at time of going to print but may be subject to alteration on the day. There are also mobile mechanics en route but we ask you to bring a puncture repair kit and any spares for your bike.

Refreshments  You can fill up water bottles and buy food and drinks at refreshments along the way. There’ll be catering and refreshments provided at the finish line.

Getting There  The college is located on the A337 Lyndhurst Road in Brockenhurst, very close to the train station.
