Congratulations to everyone who completed the Orchid Cycle New Forest 2011
Date of the 2012 event has been announced - Sunday 16th September 2012
Close to 1,000 cyclists took part in the fifth New Forest ride on Sunday 18th September, braving either the 17, 31 or 44 mile routes.
Even with the odd shower a fantastic day was had by all, with people of all ages and cycling abilities taking part in the ride along with a few fancy dress Super Heroes! The feedback from the routes was fantastic with everyone enjoying the wonderful countryside and the various challenges en route. And for those really keen to make a day of it, the various pub stops around the course seemed to be well appreciated. For all however it was certainly a challenge and well deserving of the sponsorship raised.
Riders returned to the finish to be greeted by the Orchid team handing out certificates, before enjoying a well earned hog roast and hot cup of tea!
And most importantly, with your help we year we are hoping to raise over £50,000 from sponsorship. The money raised will be put towards funding Orchid’s vital research and awareness into the three male cancers and ultimately helping to save men’s lives from cancer. Thank you to all those who took part, to everyone who sponsored you, to all of your supporters and of course to Bike Events for organising such a great ride, and we hope to see you all again next year.

Sending in your Sponsorship
CHEQUES - Please make cheques payable to ‘Orchid’ and send them along with your name and which event you are doing to Events Fundraising, Orchid, St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London EC1A 7BE.
CASH - Please do not send in cash through the post. If you collect money in cash at your events then please cash it into your bank account and send us a cheque for the full amount.
GIFT AID - If sending in money that can be gift aided then please ensure you send the sponsor form with full details of your donations and we will then calculate the gift aid for you and add this to your total. We advise photocopying your sponsor forms before posting them.
