2–5 September 2010
3 Days, 250 Miles and 2 Capital Cities all for Male Cancer

Congratulations to our 15 cyclists who took on the challenge of cycling from London to Paris from 2 - 5 September 2010. After an early start from St Paul's Cathedral with glorious blue skies above, we headed along the South Bank and over Westminster Bridge across London to Richmond Park. We then had a few tough climbs in the Surrey Hills to contend with before hitting the steeper climbs of the North and South Downs. With spirits high the team descended into Portsmouth for a well deserved rest.
After an early ferry we landed in Oustreham near Caen in Normandy and cycled along the beautiful French country lanes until the outskirts of the town of Bernay for the night. The next day was the big one - we had to cycle 100 miles into Paris. But with a beautiful route and helped along by our wonderful guides and Tall Stories support crew the event was certainly made easier and there were plenty of laughs along the way! The two groups all cycled the last few miles from the Bois de Boulogne onto the Arc de Triomphe together with a victory lap around the Arc.
With everyone making it and fundraising from the event set to reach £28,000 it was a truly successful event and many congratulations to everyone who took part and thank you to their generous sponsors.
If you fancy giving something like this a go why not sign up for our OrchidCycle London to Edinburgh in June 2011....
