Join us on this exhilarating three day capital city cycling challenge. We’re looking for 50 adventurous cyclists ready to join in the fun and camaraderie as we head for the charm, sophistication and romance of Paris! This challenging 250 mile route starts in Central London following the Thames before hitting rural Surrey and then over the North and South Downs to Portsmouth for the night. After an early morning ferry crossing to Caen we’ll cycle through the beautiful Normandy countryside as we make our way for an overnight stop in Bernay. The final day passes small tranquil villages ahead of the larger town of Evreux and onto the historic and beautiful Versailles. We then cycle into Paris finishing at the Arc de Triomphe and a well deserved celebration with a night in Paris.

We are asking everyone to pay an entry fee of £100 to secure your place on the ride which funds all non-travel costs (e.g. admin and marketing costs) and then raise a suggested minimum sponsorship of £1,200. This minimum sponsorship includes the costs of the trip (appx £600) which must be paid in before the end of June 2009 and the remaining £600 will go straight towards funding our work and must be paid in before departure. You can choose to fundraise the full £1,200 or pay the costs of £600 yourself and fundraise for the remaining £600. We will however support you with plenty of fundraising ideas and advice to ensure you reach and hopefully exceed your target.
With 35,000 cases of prostate cancer, and 2,000 testicular cancer cases per year, the incidence of male-specific cancers is relentlessly approaching the number of breast cancer cases. In challenging times we need your support more than ever to help save men’s lives from these devastating diseases.
