The 38th BMW Berlin Marathon starts and finishes near Brandenburg Gate, and takes in many of this historic city's other iconic landmarks – bringing a whole new meaning to "hitting the wall"! The flat, fast course makes it ideal for first-time marathon runners or the more experienced runner looking for a personal best.

The marathon was really great. Tough, but enjoyable at the same time. The last 7k hurt but crossing the line was a wicked buzz.
