Schools Fundraising

Orchid challenges your school to get 'CHECKED OUT' and help fight male cancer. It's fun and easy - simply wear a check item of clothing or entire outfit and donate £1 to Orchid.

'CHECKED OUT' is an awareness campaign to highlight the importance of checking out male cancer. It’s a fact that incidence of the uniquely male cancers is growing yet still too little is known about them; their causes, treatments available and most importantly how to recognise early signs.

Cast your inhibitions aside, get decked out in check,and organise a checked fundraising event to raise money and awareness for male cancers.

Step by Step Guide to Your 'CHECKED OUT' Day

Firstly decide on your date and get in touch to let us
know you’re planning to support us.

1. Don’t forget to use your CHECKED OUT Fundraising Kit with posters, balloons and sponsor forms to help support your day.
   
   
2. Ask all pupils to pay a pound to take part in CHECKED OUT.They could even collect sponsorship from friends and family for wearing their checked gear!
    
3. Enjoy your CHECKED OUT day and be sure to send us any photos of your pupils and staff decked out in check!We’ll feature the best dressed each month on our website. 
    
4. Collect together all of your fundraising money and send it to us by cheque, online donation or over the phone. 

Ideas for the Day

There are many ideas to raise additional funds from your 'CHECKED OUT' day in school and here are a few ideas to get you thinking.

• Get your teachers and Head Teacher decked out in check and make them wear the most outrageous of items!
  
  
• Sell our special CHECKED OUT ribbon pin badges within the school and to friends and family.Order your pin badges by emailing admin@orchid-cancer.org.uk
  
  
• Hold a best dressed competition for the best andmost outrageous “CHECKED OUT” pupil in school.
  
  
• Organise a checked baking day and ask the pupils to be adventurous with the icing and keep the check theme going.
  
  
• How about really getting into the checked themethrough organising a checkers, drafts, darts, hopscotch or sudoku tournament!
  
  
• Host a checked fancy dress sports day or match – you could even do teachers versus pupils to add to the fun!
