ImageThe Crusaders RFC will be playing at The International Golden Oldies Rugby Tournament at Penicuik Rugby Club near Edinburgh on 17th September 2011. Sponsored by Raging Bull Clothing and Well Hung and Tender Beef they will be sporting their new Limited Edition Rugby Kit and raising money for Orchid whilst at the same time raising awareness of male cancers and their symptoms amongst the players and spectators.

The Crusaders will be donating all profit from the proceeds of this fabulous limited edition T-Shirt and money raised at the event to Orchid. T-Shirts are being sold for £49.95 and there is more information online at www.crusadersrugby.org

The Crusaders RUFC are a charity squad, whose players have either had cancer themselves or have had a close family member that has. Their aim is to promote cancer awareness through the whole rugby community and show support to fellow ruggers that have had their lives impacted by cancer. Several of the players taking part in the Golden Oldies tournament have successfully recovered from Prostate and Testicular Cancer. Under the rules of Golden Oldies Rugby Older players and fragile players were RED shorts and can't be tackled.

The Crusaders are always looking for new players. Membership is free and you must be over 35 years of age and have either had cancer or had a close family member that has to be eligible. Anyone wishing to join or get involved with the team should contact membership@crusadersrugby.org
