- Verdi Requiem
A labour of love came to fruition at the Medina Theatre on Sunday 10th October. Musical talents from all over came together to give a beautiful performance of Verdi's Requiem.
A hushed opening, beautifully articulated by a chorus specially assembled for this occassion, was followed by the fearsome unleashing of the Dies Irae, with razor sharp timpani and scurrying strings.
The music was played majestically above the audience at the side of the Medini theatre in the Isle of Wight and the night raised a fantastic £10,000 for Orchid - well done to all concerned!
