Orchid exists to save men's lives from testicular, prostate and penile cancers
through pioneering research and promoting awareness
Orchid would like to say a big thank you to all those trusts and foundations that have kindly supported our work over the years, with a special thanks to The Light Fund and The Isle of Man Anti Cancer Association for their recent contributions. Without support from trusts and foundations, it would be difficult for Orchid to support men and their families affected by testicular, prostate and penile cancer.
Some of our supporters have included:
The Albert Hunt Trust, Anthony Travis Charitable Trust, Bernard Sunley Foundation, Billericay Round Table, The Constance Paterson Charitable Foundation, The Dyers Company Charitable Trust, Elstree Lodge No 3092, The Foyle Foundation, George Mason Charitable Trust, Isle of Man Anti Cancer Association, The Light Fund, The Fleming Family, The Seymour Charitable Foundation and the Terence Doyle Foundation.
The Isle of Man Anti Cancer Association (IOMACA) Reg. Charity 188

The Isle of Man Anti Cancer Association (IOMACA), a registered Isle of Man charity established in 1959, has generously supported Orchid’s research since 2000. Last year IOMACA celebrated its 50th Anniversary, and was announced as a winner of the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service for its work in “raising awareness of cancer and promoting a healthy lifestyle for its prevention”. The award recognises the outstanding contributions made to local communities by groups voluntarily devoting their time for the benefit of others.
Since 1959, IOMACA has raised and distributed close to £20m to various cancer research bodies and hospitals working in the field of cancer research, and has also assisted with a number of local initiatives in conjunction with the Isle of Man Department in Health and Social Services. Orchid is sincerely grateful to Carole Cowin, President, and all her team for the continued support of IOMACA over the years. We would like to congratulate and thank all our friends from the Isle of Man who work so hard to enable research into prostate cancer for the tens of thousands of men affected by the disease every year in the UK.
“We are delighted to continue supporting Orchid’s research into prostate cancer to help thousands of men affected by this disease every year in the UK”

The Light Fund

The Light Fund is the umbrella charitable body for the licensing and greeting card industry that raises funds for specific charity projects covering children, women and men.
Since its establishment in 2004, The Light Fund has raised well over £270,000 for a number of charities, including Orchid. The Light Fund was set up five years ago by Max Publishing directors Jakki Brown and Ian Hyder. Together with a group of like-minded people from the licensing and greeting card industry, they set about raising funds for specific charity projects.
We would like to thank Jakki, Ian and all our friends at the Light Fund and in the licensing and greeting industry for making our Male Cancer Awareness Week possible and for all their generous support for men affected by male specific cancers over the years. It is thanks to the generosity of The Light Fund that Orchid was able to launch its first Orchid Male Cancer Awareness Week in April last year, which aimed to help raise awareness and improve people’s understanding of the signs and symptoms of these diseases, as well as highlighting the work of Orchid.
“Congratulations to Orchid on the success of your first ever Orchid Male Cancer Awareness Week. Raising awareness of men’s cancers is extremely important for The Light Fund and we are so glad to have been apart of your new campaign”
Jakki Brown, Co-Founder
