The route
The Royal Parks Half Marathon is one of the most beautiful city runs in the world’s greatest city, with a stunning 13.1 mile autumnal route through four of London’s magnificent Royal Parks and past many of the capital’s world-famous landmarks. Taking in the Serpentine, Houses of Parliament, London Eye and Buckingham Palace, runners really have to concentrate if they want to beat their PBs!

Why run for Orchid?

As one of our runners, you will have the dedicated support of Events Fundraiser Doug Nairn, and the rest of the Fundraising Team who will help you with training tips, fundraising ideas, materials and support from day one. Here at Orchid, we are experienced in organising mass participation events, and we will make your journey from registration to race day as easy and pain-free as possible. Whether it's your 1st marathon or your 101st, we want you on board.

As a compact team, you will receive much more contact from us than you would with many of the bigger charities, from phone calls and regular email updates, to Christmas drinks and training runs. As an Orchid runner you'll receive the following benefits:

  • A comprehensive fundraising guide

  • Help setting up an online giving page
  • Training plans

  • Fundraising materials like collection tins

  • Free Orchid running vest, wristband and pin badge

How can I support Orchid on the day?
The Orchid team will be cheering on our amazing runners from a cheer station in Hyde Park. Come and join us and shout yourself hoarse in one of London's most beautiful and historic parks, before heading to a local Kensington pub for celebratory drinks with the runners afterwards!
