Congratulations to everyone that took part in the New Forest Ride on Sunday

Close to 1,000 cyclists took part in the sixth New Forest ride on Sunday 16th September, braving either the 17, 31, 44 mile or brand new 60 mile route. 
 
There was not a drop of rain in sight and a fantastic day was had by all, with people of all ages and cycling abilities taking part in the ride. The feedback from the routes was fantastic with everyone enjoying the wonderful countryside and the various challenges on route. And for those really keen to make a day of it, the various pub stops around the course seemed to be well appreciated. For all however it was certainly a challenge and well deserving of the sponsorship raised. 
 
Riders returned to the finish to be greeted by the Orchid team handing out certificates, before enjoying the music and digging in to a well earned hog roast and hot cup of tea!  
 
And most importantly, with your help we year we are hoping to raise over £45,000 from sponsorship. Over 37.400 men will be diagnosed with a male specific cancer in the next 12 months, all your sponsorship will be put directly towards our work in saving men’s lives. Thank you to all those who took part, to everyone who sponsored you, to all of your supporters and of course to Bike Events for organising such a great ride, and we hope to see you all again next year.

Sending in your sponsorship

Free Orchid Cycle Series 2012 t-shirt for everyone that raises over £100
 
CHEQUES - Please make cheques payable to ‘Orchid’ and send them along with your name and which event you are doing to Events Fundraising, Orchid, St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London EC1A 7BE.
 
CASH - Please do not send in cash through the post. If you collect money in cash at your events then please cash it into your bank account and send us a cheque for the full amount.
 
GIFT AID - If sending in money that can be gift aided then please ensure you send the sponsor form with full details of your donations and we will then calculate the gift aid for you and add this to your total. We advise photocopying your sponsor forms before posting them.

The route, the scenery, the support, the organisation and camaraderie, all stunning! A great day for a great cause!
